The Memorial Orchard and Garden was created as a tribute to Yvonne who in partnership with Eddy completed the restoration and conversion of the old farmhouse into 4 farmhouse style apartments
Yvonne’s aim & desire was always to make visitors welcome and enjoy a comfortable holiday, to share the facilities & gardens which she had lovingly created.
Yvonne made sure that each QV apartment was a home from home and contained all those essentials one would have in their own home.
As a retired nursery nurse, children were always dear to her heart and the young visitors the focus of her attention.
Swings in the garden, toys for young visitors and babies.
Yvonne worked many years with disabled children which led to Girassol being made wheelchair accessible.
Always smiling, willing to help, her cheerful disposition made friends of visitors, many returning year after year.
Compassionate and always willing to give, the Memorial Orchard and Garden is a lasting tribute to a remarkable woman who will always be missed and remembered with love by all those who knew her.
